Small Intestine Meridian Function:  Associated as bowels with the Heart meridian in the circadian cycle. The main peculiarity of the Small Intestine is that of being a great separator, both for solid and liquid substances. This not only at the physical metabolism level, but also from the psychological aspect. Therefore its characteristic will be: Small Intestine, place of division and sending of elements.

Small Intestine: place of division and sending of the elements! The small intestine separates the pure from the impure. On a psychic level it divides thoughts by choosing what is important and what is not!

On a physical level, however, it receives food from the stomach, dividing liquids from solids. Where the liquids will be sent to the Urinary Bladder; here they will undergo a further process of extraction of substances useful for the body and then discarded through urine. While the solids will be sent to the large intestine to be further metabolized and then discarded with the feces.
