Today I present to you a common and widespread pathology of the respiratory system with its respective herbal treatments: DYSPHONIA - HOARSNESS.

DYSPHONIA - HOARSENESS: By dysphonia we mean an alteration of the voice which can be raised (hyperphonia) in states of excitement, lowered (hypophonia) or even absent (aphonia) in depressive states. Dysphonia can also occur in inflammatory states of the larynx (laryngitis) or in those due to paralysis of the phonation muscles. A particular form of dysphonia, which leads to a lowering of the voice and which affects low sounds, is called "hoarseness" and is due to an inflammation of the vocal cords, often associated with laryngitis. Hoarseness is a typical disorder of speakers, teachers, singers and, in general, of all those professionals who make prolonged use of their voice.
GLYCER MACERATES FOR THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
CARPINUS BETULUS WHITE HORNBORN (Glyceric Macerate)
· Bone marrow: stimulates megakaryocytes which are the precursors of platelets. Thus the production of platelets increases both quantitatively and qualitatively . Effective as an anti-haemorrhagic and indicated in cases of liver problems combined with blood disorders (anaemia, nopenic plaques, etc.)
· Airways: where it has an important anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and healing action .
· Lungs: effective even when faced with complicated pulmonary syndromes, by virtue of its antispasmodic and anti-tussive effect .
FAGUS SYLVATICA, BEECH: The glycemic macerate is obtained by maceration of the fresh buds and seeds of the plant. This plant is indicated in all situations of inflammation of the respiratory tract. Useful for combating acute and chronic bronchitis. Its use is recommended in children who, after an infection, are affected by immunoglobulin deficiency and for this reason are subject to recurrent infections. Beech buds also have the property of stimulating diuresis and renal function. They are recommended, together with other gemotherapeutics, in the case of kidney stones and obesity characterized by water retention. They help in case of weak renal failure .
ASSOCIATIONS OF GLYCER MACERATES
Obesity: Fagus + Birch sap + Birch pubescens inner peel of the root to enhance the diuretic effect + Birch Pubescens catkins to stimulate the thyroid.
Relapsing airway diseases : Fagus + Rosehip.
Dosage: 50 drops. 1-2 times a day before meals.
HERBAL TEA
Erysimus herbal tea composed for laryngitis and aphonia
Erysimus g 20 Eucalyptus g 20 Fir berries g 10 Elderberry g 10 Rose petals g 10 Mallow g 10 Sage g 10 Dog rose 10 g. One soup spoon per cup of boiling water. Leave to melt for 15-20 minutes. Two cups a day between meals, in the morning and in the evening before bed
Four flower herbal tea for colds (children)
Mallow 25 g Mullein flowers 25 g Rosolaccio flowers 25 g Altea flowers 25 g
One tablespoon per cup of boiling water. Leave to melt for 10 minutes. Two small cups a day between meals, in the morning and in the evening before bed.
Compound elderberry herbal tea for colds
Marshmallow 10 g Chamomile 20 g Liquorice 20 g Elderberry 20 g Linden 20 g Coltsfoot 10 g. One soup spoon per cup of boiling water. Leave to melt for 15-20 minutes. Three cups a day between meals. It is also possible to prepare a liter of herbal tea (which corresponds to three cups) and drink throughout the day.
