Dear readers and friends,
Also today a coaching article on a fundamental question: what are you building your life on? This article also has the function of helping if accompanied by sincere introspection, because as I always repeat: no one can lie to themselves and it is useless to make fun of yourself. These articles stimulate self-understanding, acceptance, change where you can and above all love yourself. As in every Life Coaching context we are examining, there are only small explanations and many questions. Finding these answers is our task, discovering ourselves to then improve ourselves and loving ourselves for who we are is the ultimate goal. As has already been said in several articles:
“A question at the right time can change your life or at least the vision you have of it.”
Obviously anyone who needs help must contact the staff assigned to do so, contact them.
WHAT ARE YOU BUILDING YOUR LIFE ON
There are three perspectives from which we can see life:
The feeling - based perspective
The faith - based perspective
The fact - based perspective
Obviously each of us looks at the world through our own magnifying glass with our own thoughts and behaviors that derive from it. This "simple article" outlines the three perspectives or lenses that are generally used, giving the opportunity to do an honest search of which "lens" we are using and which would be the best to use.
The Feelings - Based Perspective
People who live their lives this way usually go up and down like a yo-yo and respond emotionally to others and circumstances, and are often inconsistent because they sometimes get completely overwhelmed by their feelings.
Other people will find it difficult to trust them because these inconsistencies make it difficult for them to know where they stand.
The Faith - Based Perspective
Some will choose to adopt a “faith” perspective. Many consider faith a religious word, but faith has nothing to do with spirituality: it is a word of "doing". We can go out and take a risk on faith or we can choose to play it safe.
Those who cling to faith generally oscillate between extreme highs and lows; they will go out and take risks in faith, but end up disappointed when things don't go the way they hoped.
This is also an unstable and shaky foundation on which many build their lives.
Facts and truth are strong building blocks upon which we can build our lives. As we become more grounded in who we are, we balance ourselves. We will still have emotional ups and downs but we will no longer be emotionally driven.
Our confidence is rooted in who we are, which means we become mature, consistent, decisive and strong.
After the essential explanations come the questions, as usual. Take a few moments to reflect on these different perspectives.
From what perspective do you experience life most of the time?
How can you start living life based more on facts and what is actually true rather than being guided by faith or feelings?
