This wonderful technique, used correctly, could provide relief from many illnesses caused by our flawed lifestyle in modern society. In this article, we'll discuss worry, anxiety, apprehension, and insomnia, which are unfortunately widespread conditions in our modern society. For a more informed approach and to better understand the topic, I recommend reading the first of the previous articles: Acupressure: Meridians, Treatments, and Tips .
Brief introduction to point treatment
Points that are painful to press are considered areas of excessive energy accumulation.
Points that feel pleasant to press are considered areas of energy deficiency. Acupressure points are generally treated bilaterally.
When energy is excessive, apply deeper pressure and hold until the excess energy dissipates. When energy is deficient, apply moderate pressure, using the flat part of the thumb, and hold to draw blood and Qi to the area (approximately 3 minutes).
