ENERGY CURES: CELTIC REIKI

 Dear readers and friends,

Today I propose another Reiki system very dear to me: Celtic Reiki. I know that I have already written about different Reiki systems which in truth are many, but the ones I present to you are the most widespread and the ones in which I best reflect myself as a philosophy. Thanking its creator, Martyn Pentacost  who wanted to give the world this wonderful gift, we will give a small introduction to explain the basics and know at least what it is but above all why to practice it.

History of Celtic Reiki

Martyn Pentacost, a British Reiki Master, received a revelation while applying Reiki energy to a dying fir tree (Ailim in Celtic). He felt the tree's healing energy enter his hands. Although it was a universal energy, it was channeled through the specific healing properties of the fir tree. After this initiatory experience, he traveled throughout the British Isles meditating with the ogham trees and shrubs that the ancient Druids knew intimately. These trees still play an important role in the folklore of the British Isles. Each tree species has its own unique healing qualities. Indeed, all trees and plants do, but like the Celts and Druids, he chose to work with the traditional trees of the ogham, to recapture the healing knowledge of the ancient Celts and Druids.

Celts and Druids

The Celts were an Indo-European culture who emerged in continental Europe about 3000 years ago and moved into various regions of Europe, such as Britain, Gaul, Spain and Ireland and left a fairly indelible imprint on the history. The Celts were a tribal people with different languages and traditions, but they were united by a deep connection with the natural world, in fact Celtic spirituality was strongly rooted in nature, trees, rivers, mountains and animals.

All this was considered sacred. Each natural element had its own spirit, or god, or goddess, associated with it and the ancient Celts believed that interacting with these spirits was essential to their daily lives. Trees, in particular, were seen as guardians of wisdom and knowledge and were symbolized by the letters of the ogham alphabet.

The Ogham alphabet, the Celtic alphabet composed of particular signs that are associated with trees, was basically used to communicate and practice magic. This alphabet, these symbols, these signs of which the alphabet is composed will then be the symbols that will be used in this particular system, so we are talking about something very fascinating.

Ogham alphabet

Magic was a fundamental part of the life of the ancient Celts. The druids, who were the guardian priests of the Celtic tradition, were the magicians and mediators between the spiritual and earthly worlds. They practiced a wide range of magic, including divination, healing, and even other diverse spells.

One of the most distinctive aspects of Celtic magic was its focus on synchronicities, coincidences and the connection between all living beings.

Natural events such as the arrival of migratory birds or the movement of the stars were all considered signs and messages from the gods. In conclusion we could also say that the Celts were the guardians, if you like, of nature and ancient mysteries. Their legacy, however, is a tribute to the eternal search that humanity continues to pursue for knowledge of the world around us and of spirituality.

Il Celtic Reiki

Celtic Reiki is a variant of Usui Reiki , one of the systems following Usui Reiki, one of the most important and most famous. Celtic Reiki refers to the tradition of the Celts and is perhaps the Reiki system most in touch with nature. It is the system most in contact with the energy of the Earth, of our planet, powerful energies that are hidden within the natural world.

This system is also very connected to classic Usui Reiki and not only to the Celtic tradition, these two techniques blend together creating a truly particular and also very effective system.

The peculiarity of Celtic Reiki is that it uses the vibrations and energies of the earth and specific trees or plants in order to create an environment suitable for healing and manifestation. So a very particular Reiki system. The energy of this Reiki system imitates the frequency of various trees and plants, so as to work in accordance with the channeled wisdom of these plants and the Celtic tradition.

Since Celtic Reiki is a Reiki which, as we have just said, is based on earthly energy, the peculiarity that differentiates it from classic Usui Reiki and from most Reiki systems is that instead of using the energy of the universe, which comes from the universe and is channeled through the crown chakra, this energy, being terrestrial, does exactly the opposite and is therefore channeled from the first chakra to go where there is a need for healing. For all people who need to be more rooted, Reiki is very important even just to practice, as well as for self-treatments, precisely because it unites us more and more with the energy of the Earth and nature.

It helps us in this connection, in this contact which is essential for every human being. Even though the energy that is channeled is so different, in reality the results it produces are similar to Usui Reiki.

In Celtic Reiki there are many aspects and many things that refer to traditional Usui Reiki. The Master says that the entire Celtic Reiki system is not yet fully revealed, channeled and known. However, it can already be used to evolve energetically, both ourselves and the structure of the entire Celtic Reiki system, so that we can work with these energies in an increasingly effective way and elevate our energy field in an increasingly powerful way.

Celtic Reiki is a healing modality full of potential and seemingly limitless in the ways it can be used to help an individual achieve health and well-being. Its strength lies in these unlimited possibilities. And, as the system is evolving, there is still much to discover, which translates into ever-increasing possibilities for health and healing.

This system, which is more congenial to me, is very interesting and beneficial for all living beings as it pushes us into closer contact with nature and its healing powers. For those like me who are more inclined towards a connection with earthly energies, it is a wonderful spiritual path to undertake. A journey through wise and ancient cultures that are disappearing.
