LIFE COACHING: THE PROCESS OF CHANGING BELIEFS (Exercise)

Dear readers and friends.                                                                                                  Articlo originale

Today I present to you another very interesting life coaching article: THE PROCESS OF CHANGING BELIEFS. Like all the works I have published, this one also requires sincere introspection. And once again I ask you not to substitute an expert for this article, if you need help there are the structures and personnel suitable for this purpose.

This is the process we go through once we've taken responsibility for the role we play in our lives and why we haven't gotten the results we wanted .

Using the following pyramid structure as a guideline we walk through the process of changing your thoughts and beliefs. Which as always is nothing more than a series of questions for honest and sincere introspection from which answers are obtained, sometimes devastating, but very useful for achieving the required change.

This exercise aims to help us create a compelling vision of our future: not just what we will do, but also who we will become.

Compelling visions make it easier for us to make the changes that will help us get closer to where and who we want to be. Moving further and further away from our current state and from the way of being that does not satisfy us and holds us back.

Performing this exercise can be done in the form of meditation by closing your eyes, or, what I prefer, visualizing and writing down the answers, without much reflection, and then reread and examine them later.

ENVIRONMENT

What kind of environment do you imagine yourself in when you do what you want to do or be the person you want to be?

Where are you?

When does this vision take place and who are you with?

What are the external factors or constraints in this vision?

BEHAVIOR

In the same vision, describe what you say and do in that context.

How is our performance?

What actions do we or don't we take?

What are our reactions to others?

What are other people's reactions towards us?

CAPACITY

Still continuing in the same vision, describe how you are doing what you are doing in this vision and how well you are doing it.

Are there any areas you can identify that you still need to work on?

What do you know?

What are your skills and competencies?

Have you learned something or are you working to master something new?

BELIEFS AND VALUES

Why are you doing what you are doing in this vision?

What motivates and drives your commitment to this ongoing action?

Why is this important to you?

What does it look like to meet your values and needs?

What is it like to meet the needs of others?

IDENTITY

Who am I in this vision of myself?

Who am I to other people and how am I received?

What do they think of myself and how am I different from who I am today?

After this series of questions, you will surely have found many answers that seem unexpected or that you thought were not yours. Well, start your journey from here: understanding yourself is the hardest work to do, but only after doing it will you be able to live a happy and fulfilling life, the greatest vision of your life.

I hope this article has been useful, and as always, leave your mark by writing your impressions in the comments, they may be useful to other travellers.
