THE PROBLEM SOLVING PROCESS.

 Hello dear readers,

today I'm talking about Life Coaching, the first article that in my opinion can be useful to everyone in improving their lives:  THE PROBLEM SOLVING PROCESS.

THE PROBLEM SOLVING PROCESS

  1. DEFINE THE PROBLEM
  2. ANALYZE THE PROBLEM
  3. CHOOSE A SOLUTION
  4. ACTION PLAN
  5. IMPLEMENTATION

DEFINE THE PROBLEM

Challenging questions like:

Why is the problem a problem?

What effect does this problem have on your life?

What is the specific problem (honestly)?

When is the problem at its worst?

When is the problem not a problem?

Who or what is involved in the problem?

ANALYZE THE PROBLEM

Useful questions for analyzing a problem include:

What proof do you have that the problem is real?

How often does the problem occur?

How does the problem manifest itself?

What's causing the problem?

Why does this problem bother you?

How serious is the problem from your perspective? How bad do others consider it?

How important is it for you to perceive the problem? And the others?

When and where did the problem occur or when did it become significant?

CHOOSE A SOLUTION

You can test its suitability by asking yourself the following questions:

Will this idea/solution work for me? Will it help me?

Will this idea/solution work for other people? Will it benefit others?

How much time and effort will this idea/solution require?

What will be the costs and benefits of this idea/solution?

How does this idea/solution fit into my other goals and commitments?

What resources do I need to implement this idea/solution?

What do I need to learn to implement this idea/solution?

A chart like this can help in the analysis of solutions.

ACTION PLAN

Successful people create their opportunities by focusing on goals with an intensity that borders on obsession. In this way, every action moves them towards their goal.

Once you've decided on your solution and written it down, it's time to write an action plan for holding yourself accountable. People who know where they are going in life are always far more successful than those who just float through the circumstances in which life is expected to create opportunities for them.

It is from the failures that have so pained and dismayed us that we learn the most lasting lessons.

IMPLEMENTATION

The following questions are good starting points at the beginning of each session to understand how we are doing with the process:

What part of your plan is working well?

What part of your plan doesn't work so well?

What part of your plan needs to change?

What's the next step you need to take?

However, if after a certain number of weeks we haven't taken any action, we have to accept that we are not receptive because we are not ready for change.

My advice is to be as honest as possible with yourself, it's useless to make fun of yourself, no one can do it what you want.

Try it and if you want let me know how it went.
