Practical Herbalism: VARICOSE STATES - HEMORRHOIDS

 Dear readers and friends.

Today I present to you some pathologies of the cardiovascular system that in recent weeks I have had to face with several of my clients and friends: VARICOUS STATES - HEMORRHOIDS.

Obviously we will see some herbal remedies that work but as always, before doing self-diagnosis and do-it-yourself treatments, it is always better to go to a doctor.

When the results of a therapy based on medicinal plants should be disappointing, resort, without hesitation, to the synthetic medicines that your trusted doctor will recommend.

VARICOSE STATES - HEMORRHOIDS: Varicose veins are permanent dilations of the venous walls, which thus tend to wear out. We are therefore dealing with lesion states, with a progressive course. The veins most affected are those of the lower limbs (saphene), but there are other locations such as those relating to the veins of the spermatic cord (varicocele) and the veins of the hemorrhoidal plexus (hemorrhoids).

Horse chestnut Aesculus hippocastanum (buds) M.G.: (hemorrhoidal decongestant) 50 drops, 1-2 times a day.

Hemorrhoids are a localization of venous disease. Haemorrhoidal manifestations require high doses of horse chestnut up to 400 gtt. per day.

Housebeam Sorbus domestica (buds) M.G.: 50 drops, 1-2 times a day. Regulator of venous circulation, on which it fights congestive phenomena. Indicated in circulatory disorders of the menopause, in the sequelae of phlebitis and in case of varicose veins and heavy legs.

Chestnut Castanea Vesca (buds) M.G.: 50 drops, 1-2 times a day. Chestnut buds interfere with venous and especially lymphatic circulation. They have a draining action on the lymphatic system, especially as regards the lower limbs. Very valid preparation in combination with the rowan in the treatment of circulatory disorders of the legs as the rowan acts on the blood vessels, the chestnut on the lymphatic ones.
