Dear readers and friends, Articolo in Italiano su OlisticaMente Kokoro
Today I present to you an article of practical herbal medicine that illustrates some pathologies of the respiratory system and the consequent herbal treatments.
We will see some herbal remedies that work but as always, before getting self-diagnosis and do-it-yourself treatments, it is always better to go to a doctor.
When the results of a therapy based on medicinal plants should be disappointing, resort, without hesitation, to synthetic medicines that your trusted doctor will recommend.
TONSILLITIS – ADENOIDS
The term pharyngeal angina or tonsillitis refers to an inflammatory state of the palatine tonsils, supported by pathogenic germs; it can be acute or develop chronically. The most recurring forms are the acute ones, supported by staphylococci or streptococci; clinically they manifest themselves, in an acute form, as simple redness (catarrhal tonsillitis), or with the formation of yellowish-white plaques ( follicular tonsillitis), or in the most serious cases with the formation of abscesses (suppurative tonsillitis or tonsillar abscess).
Ribes nigrum (buds) MG: (anti-inflammatory) 50 drops in the morning. +
Betula pubescens (buds) MG: (tonic-stimulant) 50 drops at noon. +
Dog rose (young shoots) MG: (active in relapsing inflammation ) 50 drops in the evening.
The treatment should be continued for 2-month cycles, to be repeated after 1-month breaks.
Local use: Satureja montana (whole plant) TM: (antiseptic) 1 spoon in 1 glass of water, use for gargling, 2-3 times a day.
Rhinopharyngitis – SINUSITIS
These are nasopharyngeal inflammations of allergic or infectious origin and can be acute or chronic. When the paranasal sinuses are affected, they are defined as sinusitis or rhinosinusitis. Except in cases of considerable gravity, where antibiotic therapy is required, infectious nasopharyngitis can be successfully treated with phytoderivatives. In any case, even if antibiotic therapy is necessary, the treatment based on phytopreparations constitutes a valid support.
Preventive treatment of relapsing rhinopharigitis in children, starting in September and continuing for 2-3 months
Dog rose (buds) MG.+ Abies pectinata (buds) MG.+ Betula verrucosa (buds)
20-30 drops of each of the 3 mg, before 3 meals, combining the drops in a single glass with a little water. This serves to increase the organic defenses and to make the child more resistant to recurrences.
Treatment for adult relapsing nasopharyngitis
Betula pubescens (buds) MG: (tonic stimulant) + Carpinus betulus (buds) MG: (elective tropism for the nasopharynx) 50 drops of each of the MGs, before 3 meals, combining the drops in a single glass with a little water .
As usual, some suggestions from our GREEN WEEZ partnership : Organic Ribes Nigrum - Hydroglyceroalcoholic Extract , Bio Erisimo - Hydroalcoholic Extract of Alba Birch , Organic Rosa Canina - Hydroglyceroalcoholic Extract .
Before concluding once again I strongly advise not to undertake any treatment without the assistance of authorized personnel.
